Heating Up the Holidays part 3

This was my third project for Ustamp with Dawn and Friends Heating Up the Holidays 2013. I made a 2 page 12x12 scrapbook layout using the Color me Christmas stamp set and some washi tape and DSP from the Holiday Catalog.

Treat Bags

If you are a Stampin' Up demo, then you get the magazine Stampin' Success. In the current issue, there were treat bags made with a regular lunch sack. A few cuts and some glue, and you have a fun little bag. I decorated mine using the ovals framelits and the Oh Hello stamp set and the hostess set Postage Collection. I made the flower with the Fancy Flower punch and baroque embossing folder. I added a doily cut in half, some ribbon, and a banner to finish. I had to use a glue gun to attach the flower. Now I just have to decide what to put in it.....

Dress Up Framelits

I haven't used these framelits as much as I would like. I did make this card with my stamp club last month and really love how it turned out. The DSP and the button are retired , but this card could be made with so many different options of ribbon, jewels, DSP, and buttons. My favorite thing about this card is that when you stamp on the Natural Composition specialty paper, it is embossed so it resists some of the color. A little wipe with a tissue and it leaves a very cool image.

I did make this card in another color too. I just couldn't help myself!

Pop n Cuts Bathing Suit Card

Had this idea for a while and it sat on my desk half glued together for a while. Still haven't finished outside but will get to it. When I saw the sleeveless dress framelit, it reminded me of a bathing suit. A little snip here and there and voila'! I made the beach blanket with the chevron embossing folder. Ran 1 piece of each color through big shot and trimmed the chevrons out of the calypso coral piece. Used some punched for sun, hat, and clouds. Hope you enjoy it!

Supplies
CS: so saffron, whisper white, blushing bride, calypso coral, tempting turquoise
DSP: sunshine and sprinkles, tea for 2
Ink: soft suede, crumb cake, black stazon
Stamps: perfectly penned
Accessories: Chevron EF, pop n cuts dress form and base, dress framelits, cupcake builder, circle and oval punches, sponges

Bye Bye Manhattan Flower

This is a case of a card from Julie Pitta who cased it from the Stampin' Up 2011-2012 catalog. I had only recently gotten this EF when SU put out their retired list and this was on it! I remembered loving the sample in the catalog when I saw Julie's card. I changed the colors slightly and added a clay rose.

Supplies:
CS-old olive, early espresso, raspberry ripple, watercolor paper, very vanilla
Ink: raspberry ripple, old olive, early espresso
Accessories: simply pressed clay and molds, old olive and raspberry ripple markers, chevron and manhattan flower EF, extra large oval punch, scallop border punch, sponges, linen thread
Stamps: word play, the open sea

This and That

Hey stampers! I received my this and That bundle from Stampin' Up last week and have just been looking at it and thinking, "what am I going to put in it????".  It's such cool paper and stickers I need to do something really cool with it. I will let you know when I figure that out! I don't want to horde it like I do with lots of paper and ribbon....(you understand right??).

I thought I would try a card first and then go from there. I used the paper and washi tape from the kit. I LOVE the washi tape. Am soooo glad that SU finally got into that. I have seen a sneak peek of some more and it's delicious! I also did my sentiment with the cool rotary stamp that comes with it. The colors are gumball green, calypso coral, and whisper white. The stamp is one of the single stamps called Spectacular. I covered the bottom pair of glasses with some tape and inked the rest in basic gray. I colored the uninked pair with calypso coral marker. I added some dazzling details for some sparkle.

My embellishment is more washi tape and a smashed small bottle cap. These are too cute and have a lot of uses. I made a necklace with the larger one but that's for another day. I added a circle of cs and a clear button with twine. The sentiment is die cut with the bitty banners framelit.  I also used a few embossing folders, chevron and the border one is from the Spring mini, I can't remember name right now!

Hope you enjoyed my card. I will be back tomorrow with another!
