So who has downloaded the Project Life app to their phone or Ipad? It is a bargain at 99cents (there are in app purchases for more content, which you will want!). If you are like me, and most people with IPhones, you take most of your photos with your phone. This makes it easy to create a page in minutes and anywhere that you are. They now even have a print option, so you can upload and order pages and prints in a variety of sizes.

As a Stampin' Up demo, I can happily say that the Project Life by Stampin' Up is available in the app. I have been doing a mix of digital and paper Project Life scrapbooking and have actually been getting it done! I completed 2012 and I am halfway through 2013. In the meantime, I am keeping current with my 2015 album. The page above took about 5 minutes and I am so pleased how it came out. I ordered it in 12 x 12 and received it in about a week. I slipped it into a 12 x 12 page protector and 1 page was done for January 2015.

I will be sharing more of my paper and digital layouts in the next few weeks so stay tuned!Dawn Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11335246124264944118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726956981464679537.post-61758722899860910472014-05-09T14:41:00.001-04:002014-05-09T14:41:25.076-04:00Retro Fresh Mini album

Made this mini album with the SU Retro Fresh Suite. I just love this color combo and all of the details. Order these products soon as they will be gone by first of June. Have you seen these adorable gift card holders made with the envelope punch board? Jackie Topa, a wonderful SU demo shared instructions for this on YouTube. I of course changed the DSP and color combo, and added my own little touches.
My mom loves purple so I decided to use some wisteria wonder cs along with some sahara sand. The DSP is from the sweater weather 12x12 pack. I know that it doesn't look like it, but there are some more neutral patterns in there. I made the flower with some crepe paper and 7/8 scallop circle punch. The stamps sets are sketched birthday, perfectly penned, and flowering flourishes. I also used some washi tape from the this and that suite. It's hard to see but there is some sparkle on this card. I used a sakura stardust gel pen. Everything else is SU.

Go make a few of these, they are super fun and easy!Dawn Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11335246124264944118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726956981464679537.post-13993830029894764052013-11-13T21:53:00.001-05:002013-11-13T21:53:18.275-05:00Ustamp Knockout Punches 2013

So I had been seeing these curly paper wreaths all over the internet and decided I needed to try one. It seemed like a lot of work just looking at it. Lo and behold, it was super easy! Now I won't lie and say it isn't time consuming, but it is so worth it. I already have a plan to make a few for Christmas for my friends and family. The great part about these is that it uses up a lot of DSP. I have to admit, I horde my DSP and even though I can't use it for workshops, I still hold onto it. So this may thin out my stash just a bit. I see one for each season, holiday....ideas are endless......Dawn Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11335246124264944118noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726956981464679537.post-23469193604536406582013-10-25T10:52:00.001-04:002013-10-25T11:00:05.495-04:00Knockout Punches is Coming!

If you are a Stampin' Up demo, then you get the magazine Stampin' Success. In the current issue, there were treat bags made with a regular lunch sack. A few cuts and some glue, and you have a fun little bag. I decorated mine using the ovals framelits and the Oh Hello stamp set and the hostess set Postage Collection. I made the flower with the Fancy Flower punch and baroque embossing folder. I added a doily cut in half, some ribbon, and a banner to finish. I had to use a glue gun to attach the flower. Now I just have to decide what to put in it.....Dawn Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11335246124264944118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726956981464679537.post-87311559154518305632013-07-03T22:29:00.002-04:002013-07-03T22:29:32.272-04:00Dress Up Framelits

I haven't used these framelits as much as I would like. I did make this card with my stamp club last month and really love how it turned out. The DSP and the button are retired , but this card could be made with so many different options of ribbon, jewels, DSP, and buttons. My favorite thing about this card is that when you stamp on the Natural Composition specialty paper, it is embossed so it resists some of the color. A little wipe with a tissue and it leaves a very cool image.

Had this idea for a while and it sat on my desk half glued together for a while. Still haven't finished outside but will get to it. When I saw the sleeveless dress framelit, it reminded me of a bathing suit. A little snip here and there and voila'! I made the beach blanket with the chevron embossing folder. Ran 1 piece of each color through big shot and trimmed the chevrons out of the calypso coral piece. Used some punched for sun, hat, and clouds. Hope you enjoy it!
This is a case of a card from Julie Pitta who cased it from the Stampin' Up 2011-2012 catalog. I had only recently gotten this EF when SU put out their retired list and this was on it! I remembered loving the sample in the catalog when I saw Julie's card. I changed the colors slightly and added a clay rose.

Hey stampers! I received my this and That bundle from Stampin' Up last week and have just been looking at it and thinking, "what am I going to put in it????". It's such cool paper and stickers I need to do something really cool with it. I will let you know when I figure that out! I don't want to horde it like I do with lots of paper and ribbon....(you understand right??).

I thought I would try a card first and then go from there. I used the paper and washi tape from the kit. I LOVE the washi tape. Am soooo glad that SU finally got into that. I have seen a sneak peek of some more and it's delicious! I also did my sentiment with the cool rotary stamp that comes with it. The colors are gumball green, calypso coral, and whisper white. The stamp is one of the single stamps called Spectacular. I covered the bottom pair of glasses with some tape and inked the rest in basic gray. I colored the uninked pair with calypso coral marker. I added some dazzling details for some sparkle.

My embellishment is more washi tape and a smashed small bottle cap. These are too cute and have a lot of uses. I made a necklace with the larger one but that's for another day. I added a circle of cs and a clear button with twine. The sentiment is die cut with the bitty banners framelit. I also used a few embossing folders, chevron and the border one is from the Spring mini, I can't remember name right now!

Hope you enjoyed my card. I will be back tomorrow with another!

Hey stampers! I had colored this image about a month or so ago using my aqua painter and my ink pads. I just thought this was the most adorable image for a baby card. I finally decided to do something with it. My friend had a baby girl and I need to send her a gift so perfect time to make this card.

The colors are pool party and calypso coral and the DSP and ribbon was from Salebration called sycamore street. I used the floral framelits to make the card and all of the layers. I used the Oh Whale clearlit for the anchor. I even made my envelope with my Simply Scored diagonal plate. I hate that SU got rid of their square envies, but at least I can make my own now.

Hope everyone enjoys this card. Hey again stampers! I had some cards left over from a previous workshop and decided to play around. I had made this monogram with the faux metal technique. I decided to make a flowerpot with it and add my flower made from the First Edition DSP. My leaves are punched from the blossom builder punch.

If you have never tried the faux metal before, it's super easy. Just cover a small piece of cs with Versamark ink and add a metallic embossing powder of your choice. For this one I used pewter. Heat it up until it melts. Let it cool for a min and then cover again with Versamark. Again add embossing powder and heat. While it is still hot. cover again with powder (no need to add ink this time), and heat again. Add a last layer of powder and heat. Ink a stamp of choice with versamark ink, and working quickly, stamp down into hot powder. Hold for about 30 seconds and remove. You will have an awesome impression.

Hopefully you will try this out. Just be careful and don't burn your fingers!!Dawn Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11335246124264944118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726956981464679537.post-27862324441298642432013-04-08T12:30:00.003-04:002013-04-08T12:30:58.938-04:00Oh Hello Doily Card

Hey everyone! I actually have a card that I made for my card class a few weeks ago. I saw a card on Stampin' Connection by Nicole Tugrul and just loved it! I changed a few things but is the basic design.

The card base is 4 1/4 x 11 primrose petals cs scored at 5 1/2. I then ran it through the Big Shot with the front of card in the honeycomb embossing folder. The leaves are cut from the little leaves sizzlets and lucky limeade cs.

I used the thumping technique to stamp the doily. I inked the largest stamp from the Postage Due stamp set with lucky limeade ink. Then I took my primrose marker and thumped all over the stamp added color here and there. When I was happy with it, I huffed on it and stamped the doily.

I stamped the Oh Hello from the stamp set of the same name with primrose ink on a scrap of whisper white cs and cut it out with the small tag from Apothecary Accents framelits. The roses are from the rose ribbon in the Spring catalog. I just cut a few apart and rubbed them on the primrose ink pad for some color.

Pretty easy card but I really love it!
Here are my second and third projects for the current Ustamp with Dawn and Friends. I fell in love with the Ronald McDonald set, Moving Forward, and wanted to make some cards using it. I also can't sew, but LOVE SU's fabrics. I decided to make a no-sew project that looks like I can sew!
So I have been busy getting ready for the next Ustamp with Dawn and Friends. If you love the new SU holiday catalog, then you will want to check it out. Lots of Halloween, Fall, and Christmas projects. I will add the blinkie to my sidebar so if you want to sign up you can. On to my project.

I made this a few months ago after I saw Dawn Olchefske's video on this. You can check her out at Dostamping for a bunch of videos. She is so awesome to share her ideas. It is a hat made out of a SU brad or button box. I used papers and ribbon from this years Sale E Bration for this cute hat. I added a button bracelet to the inside for a hostess gift. My flower was done with the blossom punch and the boho blossoms punch. I added a little vanilla smooch spritz for some sparkle plus some rhinestones. Isn't it the cutest? Keep those boxes ladies cause these are so fun!

I will be back soon with more so stay tuned!!
